The full program for these days

From October 30 to November 3, 2026, CIPAM is holding five days of events in Réunion. Two are open to the public, two are scientific, and one is a field trip. Each day has its own location, target audience, and access procedures.

Departmental Council Chamber - State Garden

Friday 30 October

Institutional opening

The day sets the stage. In the morning, the strategic vision for the overseas biodiversity territory, approaching One Health, followed by two roundtables: the valorization of PAPAMs (Protected Areas of Aromatic and Medicinal Plants) through science and health, and the transmission of traditional knowledge. The competition pitch Inno'zerbaj concludes the morning.

The afternoon is devoted to the economy: the challenges of valorization, support mechanisms, and the regulations applicable to medicinal plants.

At 6:00 PM, the exhibition will be inaugurated at Natural History Museum, guided tour, then closing cocktail dinner.

Morning - territory, science & society

State Garden

Saturday 31 October

Public open day

The day of shared knowledge. From 9:00 to 11:00, a public conference on traditional knowledge and herbalists, in the Department's hemicycle.

Then, until 1:30 p.m., the local market It sets up in the Jardin de l'État: local producers, stands, demonstration workshops. There you can discover the extract library of Reunion Island and its extraction processes, observe biological screening under a microscope, and meet the Reunion Island companies that transform the plant into a finished product.
